Dr. Drew A. Anderson is a psychologist specializing in assessing and treating eating disorders, body image disturbance and psychological and medical problems associated with obesity. He also sees a variety of patients within the clinical and health psychology fields. Licensed in the State of New York, Dr. Anderson completed his doctoral training in Psychology at Louisiana State University in 1997 and his postdoctoral training at the Weight and Eating Disorders Program at the University of Pennsylvania Medical College in 1998. Dr. Anderson is an Associate Professor and the Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology at the University at Albany-SUNY.
He has an active research program at the University, which focuses on the assessing and treating eating disorders, body image disturbance and psychological and medical problems associated with obesity. He has authored or co-authored over 60 scientific papers and book chapters, presented over 100 times at professional conferences and has served on multiple professional boards. Dr. Anderson is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the Eating Disorder Research Society. |
